2013 Convocation White

A convocation is a meeting of the members of a college or university to observe a particular ceremony, in this case the release of this wonderful white blend. Convocation White is medium-bodied smooth wine with sufficient acidity to achieve balance and harmony. It is pale yellow with green highlights and gives us a fresh, fragrant and zippy introduction to the Academy’s newest white. The primarily hazelnut bouquet adds aromas of exotic fruits and pineapples with just a hint of anise. Flavors abound with buttery tones, apricot, juicy red grapefruit and lemon on a background of smoky oak. This is a truly complex but balanced palate.

Varieties: 35% Roussane, 33% Reisling, 16% Chardonnay, 13% Viognier

Pair: light seafood, chilled hors d’oeuvres, poultry dishes and fruit salad.
