Wyckoff farms is in the lower Yakima Valley north of the town of Prosser the vineyard was planted in the late 1970s. The site is a cooler site making for intense fruit and good acidity. As a winemaker this is one of if not my favorite sites for Chardonnay. The wine was barrel fermented stirred on the lees, for 3 months in a combination of new and used French and American oak barrels. The American oak barrels are specially coopered for Chardonnay. This is a perfect wine for the holiday season the crispness of this wine lends it a wide range of foods from turkey to your favorite hors d’oeuvres for the season.
