Plan Your Visit
Visit Our Tasting Room
Pull up a stool
Open Thursday through Saturday, 1 to 6 p.m. Tastings are $10 per person for a flight of four wines, or order any of our wines by the glass.
Pull up a seat and taste wine made just steps away by our student winemakers. Our tasting room, wine bar, and retail shop invite you to sip the current releases, take home a bottle or two, and ask for a peek into the barrel room and bottling area where it all comes together.
When the weather cooperates, carry your glass out to the patio and let the garden views do the rest. We won’t tell anyone if you stay awhile, promise.
More than a glass
Here's what makes a visit different from any other tasting room you could choose.
The wine in front of you was grown, fermented, and bottled by students learning the craft, and what you spend here helps fund the next person who wants to learn it. A flight on our patio isn't simply a lovely afternoon. It's a small act of support for a wine education that stays within reach of aspiring winemakers that the industry too often overlooks. Good wine, and a little good done. Win win.
A space as crafted as the wine
Designed by Boxwood Architects, a Seattle firm that specializes in winery design, our tasting room is something of a crown jewel in the Seattle area. Reclaimed redwood sets the backdrop, while the tasting counter is faced in basalt drawn from the volcanic soils of Eastern Washington's wine country. It's a room that tells you where the wine comes from before you've taken a sip.
The space transforms, too. Large roll-up glass doors open the tasting room onto our winery, kitchen, and patio, turning an intimate spot for a glass into an airy, light-filled venue for a gathering.

Built with intention
Step deeper into the winery and go behind the scenes of a teaching environment that’s second to none. Our barrel rooms are built as a "room within a room," holding wine at a steady temperature with barely a degree of variation over months of aging. Their walls are made of Faswall blocks, formed from recycled wood shipping pallets and cement, a striking design choice that insulates so well it dramatically cuts the energy needed to keep the rooms cool.
Just outside, grapes arrive at each harvest on our crush pad. Inside, a fermentation room of temperature-controlled tanks, generous workspace, and an on-site lab that doubles as a classroom round out a winery built to make real wine and to teach the next generation to make it too.
Stay a while, then take some home
Come taste what our students have made. Find a favorite, carry a bottle home from the shop, and if the afternoon leaves you wanting more than a glass, the Curious Otter Wine Club, our growing community of wine lovers, is how you keep the good stuff coming, with members-only releases, tastings, and the quiet satisfaction of knowing every pour supports a student.
We'd love to pour for you.
