The Curious Otter Wine Club is the wine club of the Northwest Wine Academy, Washington's only teaching winery. Every bottle you'll discover here was made by students learning the art, science, and business of wine the only way that really sticks: by doing it, from harvest to glass.
Join, and you taste wines you won't find on any other shelf, learn a little more with every pour, and help fund the next person who wants in. It's a membership with a point. Come for the wine. Stay for the story behind it, and the people it makes room for.
Where your membership goes
This is the part that makes the Curious Otter Wine Club different from any other wine club you could join.
Your dues don't pad a corporation's margins. They stay right here, buying the barrels, lab supplies, and harvest hours that let students learn on real equipment with real fruit. They help keep a wine education within reach for the people the industry too often passes over: first-generation students, career changers, working adults who were quietly told this world wasn't for them.
The Northwest Wine Academy is a non-profit institution supporting aspiring wine makers with dreams. Every bottle you pour does two things at once. It tastes wonderful, and it holds a door open. That's a rare thing in a glass.

Your starting point. New to wine, or simply curious? You'll discover student-made releases and find your footing one bottle at a time.

When sipping turns into something more
Here's what we've noticed: a lot of our members start with a glass and end up wanting to know everything about wine and how it’s made. How the fruit becomes the wine. Why this varietal and not that one. What it would take to make a bottle themselves.
If that sounds like you, you're already closer than you think. The same instructors who pour at our member events teach our classes, and you can sit in on a single one with no commitment, just to see how it feels.
