J&A's Winery labelDick first learned of winemaking helping his father decades ago in the garage in California. He then moved to Washington and made wine in the garage again–this time on a bigger scale. Of course, he had a little help from the Northwest Wine Academy with certificates in Winemaking and wine Sales and Marketing.
